American knowledge about Kurdistan,1,5,

Broadcast video film technologies are now easily available.  High schools are producing video films that are being broadcast on public television channels.  Here in Hawaii there is Hiki No (Can Do) which is the first statewide news network in the United States.
Check out Hiki No episodes at:  http://www.pbshawaii.org/hikino/index.php

Below is a series of 8 YouTube videos produced by members of the Kurdish Student Association (KSA) at George Mason University (GMU) in Washington DC.  These videos speak to the challenges and opportunities Kurdish students face in the United States.  The videos are thoughtful and well done.

These videos focus on heritage, history, and cultural pride.  A main feature is the challenge of developing one's own personal identity with a foot in each culture.

The first video is the final production, but don't miss the full length interviews, parts of which went into the final version.

Ownership of this documentary belongs to HD-S Productions, Behar Godani and Hakim Shammo
